Y.O.F. = FEEL BLESSED

Before the conduct of Y.O.F., Omega and Ate Grace already invited us to join their devotion. I admitted that ever since I was a high school student, I always attend in their devotion. We have a class that time which is Philippine Government and New Constitution so we asked permission if we could be excuse because of that matter. He quickly agreed leave a message for us; it goes like this, " It's alright to be excuse, as long as you're going to church, there's nothing wrong about that. Yet, it will increase your faith to God." We hurriedly went to church and the program already started as we arrived. They shot pictures of us at the entrance after writing the names on their lists. We chose the fifth row from the last.

The theme was all about "unbounded" and being a free person having freedom. The Pastor discussed some important verses on the bible that was related to the theme. Here are some:

" Jesus answered them, "truly, truly I say to you, everyone who commits sin is the slave of sin."                                                                                                                                                                                                                           - JOHN 8:34 -
"For the good that I want, I do not do, but I practice the very evil that I do not want. But if I am doing the very good thing I do not want, I am no longer the one doing it, but sin which dwells in me."                                                                                                                                                                         - ROMANS 17:19-20 -
" Jesus said to him, " I am the way, and the truth and the life no one comes to the father but through me."                                                                                                                                                                                                      - JOHN 14:6 -
"So if the son makes you free, you will be free indeed."                                                                                                                                                - JOHN 8"36 -

Those were the verses mentioned. I learned that being obsessed on one thing is a sin. And the mentioned obsession were vices like smoking and drinking too much alcohol, obsession in online games. Those were sins mentioned that most youngsters and youth done as of today's.

And for that sins, everyone was invited to go in front for a short prayer that will release us from sins. We instruct us to close our eyes, feel the presence of the Lord, asked forgiveness for our committed sins and let the good spirit embraced our heart and our soul.

At that very moment, I felt that good spirit embraced my heart and our soul, God forgave my sins and felt His presence within me. Tears fell down on my cheeks as I continue asking forgiveness for my sins and thanking Him for the blessings I received. We sang different songs of praises for Him. I free myself from different agonies and I let God owned me at that very moment, and I found happiness in my heart, hatred free and no pain. In short I FEEL BLESSED.!

Marabong Adventure

September 21. Sunday. Before going home, I passed by in Buenavista Drugs where Ate Jovy lived to have some chatting about school. Suddenly, Ate Grace arrived with stuffs in her hands. Out of curiosity I asked where is she going and what she would do with things in her hands. She answered that they were going to Marabong for their project to Sir Mark. I found out that Ate Jovy was going with them, so I pleased them if I could come to, and they agreed. I hurriedly went home to pack my things because we will be leaving at one o'clock in the afternoon. As I finished, the tricycle arrived with Ate Jovy, Ate Grace and Omega inside. I leave the house and joined them to go to the meeting place. When we arrived there, my mother called. I quickly answered the call and told her that we were going to Marabong. After an hour of waiting, the bus arrived. We stepped on it and searched for seats. While the vehicle started the engine, we started taking pictures. After not more than thirty minutes, we arrived to the entrance of Marabong. So, the long walk started because the place where we will be staying was very far. Along the way, they started to cover and took lot of pictures of the surroundings we passed by. There were lots of bananas and "makahiya" along the street. We had our reminiscing moments about the "makahiya" when we were kids of removing one vine with leaves remained open. We also tried it. It was happy that we can still do it.

In the midst of walk, we rest and drunk water for the revival of energy. After few minutes, we continued. We followed the shortcut as what Ate Jovy pointed. It took us two hours to reached the place. We arrived at 4 o'clock in the afternoon. But all the tiredness and pain we felt, it all faded away when we saw the place. One word to describe was STRESS RELIEVING. The place was surrounded by the greenish color of tress in the mountains and a fresh air releases by several trees.

They started interviewing the subject on their project while many of us continued appreciating and commenting the place. A few minutes passed and the sun began to set in the west, the sky was already filled with dusk, we (Ate Jovy and her niece, Omega and I), went to the nearest mountain to get some "irok" to create a broom. While we were searching the said tree, Ate Jovy's niece found a "bayawak". He then swiped it with his bolo and continued cutting "irok" leaves. After grabbing enough materials in making a broom, we quickly get down the mountain and bring the "bayawak" with us along the way home. When we arrived, they run toward us and took pictures with the said animal.

Dinner. Before the dinner, everyone took a quick shower. After then, we ate our dinner with "nilagang puso ng saging" as our viant. As we finished, everybody ready themselves to sleep while the five of us decided to take our sleep on the neighborhood whom it was owned by Ate Jovy's aunt. There was no electricity over the place but the light of the moon served as the temporary power. While we laid our back on the bed, Ate Jovy and her aunt arrives and told us to leave and take our sleep to the other house because it was already longed abandoned. At first we refused but forced to obey. So, we slept to the house recommended by her.

Night had passed and morning came. We woke up early and took coffee to heated our body. Our companions who slept on the other house leave so early. The five of us remained and decided to get "ubod". When we were eating our breakfast, we found the "adobong bayawak" in the table. Omega and I took some of it. It was so delicious. It tastes like  chicken. Before leaving, we thanked the persons there, and shot some pictures together with the carabao. Then we leave.

After several steps, we stayed and rested for minutes to the former house of Ate Jovy. They get some "buko" and we shared it to each other. It served as our snack --- a free snack.

Those were moments while we were in Marabong. It was a memorable experience for us and an enjoyable adventure. I realized that we who lived in the city were lucky to have the school being so close. Unlike them who were living in the along the secluded place like that, it was so hard to travel just to attend schooling. WE WERE LUCKY!

Is It Love or Infatuation?

Do you know what's the difference between love and infatuation? Because they really differ, a big difference. Have you been attracted from opposite sex? Of course, as a teenager one could feel attracted from opposite sex. And that's what you call ATTRACTION. Attraction is admiration for someone that may include the desire to get to know that person better. Attraction usually takes place in the form of infatuation or crush.
INFATUATION is the admiration for someone while not recognizing that person flaws. Crushes usually last for only a short period of time, a few weeks or maybe a few months. These feelings are completely normal and are part of  becoming a young adult.
Most people begin to form romantic relationships based on love. Love is a deep affection for someone and is based on a true desire for the other persons but interests. In a healthy relationship, the other person shares and responds with the same kind of love. Learning to develop, nurture and even deal with the loss of these relationships are the most important ways to prepare for adult relationships.

Love and infatuation are both intense emotions that one feels for another person. These feelings are the most often confused for each other by many people. But the two feelings differ in their actuality of love, intensity and final outcome. Infatuation is an instant desire. It is one of glands calling to another. Love is a friendship that has caught fire. It takes root and grows one day at a time. Infatuation is marked by a feeling of insecurity. You are excited and eager, but not genuinely happy. There are nagging doubts, unanswered questions; little bits and pieces about your beloved that you would just as soon not examine too closely, it might spoil the dream.
Love is quiet understanding and the mature accept of imperfection. It is real. It gives you strength and grows beyond you to bolster your beloved. You are warmed by his or her presence ever when he/she is away. Miles do not separate you. You want him/her nearer but near or far you know he/she is yours and you can wait.
Infatuation says, " We must get married right away! I can't risk losing you! ". Love says, " Be patient. Do not panic. Plan your future with confidence". Infatuation has an element of sexaul excitement. If you are honest, you can admit to be in one another's company unless you are sure it will end in intimacy. Love is maturation of friendship. You must be friend before you can be lovers. Infatuation lacks confidence. When he/she is away, you wonder if he/she is cheating. Sometimes you check.
Love means trust. You are calm, secure and unthreatened. Your beloved feels that also and that makes him/her even more trustworthy. Infatuation might lead you to do things you will regret later but love never  will. Love is an upper. It makes you look up. It makes you think up. It makes you a better person.

So, have you been inlove? Check yourself first if it is infatuation or it is love then. Make yourself clear with your decisions and analyze things clearly. Because one choice, one decisions means everything.

" LOVE is patient , love is kind. It does not envy. It does boast. It is not proud. It is not rude. It is not self-seeking. It is not easily angered and it keeps no record of wrong. Love does not delight in evi; but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, trusts, hopes and perseveres."

                                                                                              I Corinthians 13:4-8

Tears of Sacrifice in the Past

The topic for the subject English-American was about Rhodora written by Ralph Waldo Emerson. As we were analyzing the poem every line, we stopped the discussion after relating the meaning of the line into "SACRIFICE". As for it was mentioned, everybody in the class shared all their sacrifices in life. The sharing was done one by one and I was the last one. My sharing like this:

I have a cousin whose six months older than me. Her father and my father were siblings. We are not rich as they were. Ever since we entered schooling, we were always compared and competed each other. When we were in Grade 1, I top the class and she ranked as second. I was happy when I went home. Then suddenly, my cousin's mother shouted that they will see if who in their offspring shall finish studies. Then the next day, my cousin transferred to another section and she ranked as no. 1 on that section. I also topped in my section. The scenario was always like that until we reached fourth grade. It only changed when we were in Grade 5 & 6, because we putted on the same section and eventually I graduated as Valedictorian and she as Salutatorian. After the graduation, I decided to study here in SABNAHIS for her to top in class in high school there. That was my first sacrifice.                     I took an entrance exam in SABNAHIS and luckily  I passed and ranked no. 5 best in English. I found difficult to adjust on my new environment but coped up with it very soon. I was called an NPA( No Permanent Address ) by my classmates when I was in first year high school because I transferred from one place to another every week. At first, I was settled in front of Buenavista Day Care Center, then transferred to Punta. I stayed there for two weeks. On my two weeks stay there was full of sacrifices. Because I woke too early in the morning to reached the school just in time by means of walking. I considered that as my exercise to thrift the money my parents was sending. Then, my long stayed was in my mother's elder sister in Sto.NiƱo. The shelter was free and the rest was my parents burden. At first, my stayed was definitely good but later on, it changed. They treated me differently. They woke me up early in the morning to cook food and other house chores before leaving the house. They let me walked everyday to go to school even though they had a  tricycle to ride on. I accepted that as a challenged. Every time I went home, they kept the viant and didn't let me took some of it. So, I settled with soy and oil poured in the rice to have a strength at school. For half a year, I was in that situation. I didn't tell that to my parents to avoid brawl between them. My classmates were the only one who knows about my situation in the house.
I thanked to God when my ante went home and settled here for good with her husband. Upon her arrival, she contacted me and asked how I am doing. And at that moment, I shed tears and told her everything. She hugged me tight with  tears in her eyes because of my story and promised to take me away from that house. After two days, she told me to packed my things and leave the house because she already talked to her husband about my staying in their house and agreed it thoroughly.  Without any hesitation, I hurriedly obeyed her. I also told to my tita about transferring to my ante's place with respect to them as my guardian for six months. I also thanked them for letting me stayed there in their house.
My mother hurriedly went to my ante's house when she knew about my transferred.  Then, when they exchanging stories about one another, my ante opened up the story behind leaving my tita as a guardian. She told everything what I told her. My mother burst into tears upon hearing my experienced with them. She also hugged without any words coming out from her mouth, only sobs and feeling of pitiness and sympathy on me. I told her to forget everything what happened and start a new without leaving any footprints of anger, hatred and taking of revenge.  She then agreed to what I say.
From then on, my life as well as my study went good. My stay with my new guardians was happy and memorable that I owed to my ante. They treated as their eldest daughter and a sister-like of their children.

About my sacrifices in the past taught me how to be strong and consider it as a trials in my life that I successfully overcome without any hatred filled out my heart to people who was responsible for that matter. I thanked God for not letting me down and continue and strengthen my faith in Him. Because of what they did, I learned a lot and became a person what I was today. I already forgive them and treasured and kept it as my pasts experience.

I THANK YOU MY IDOL

When you say idol, the first thing that comes on your mind was artists, right? The artists that can be seen on television doing some soap operas depicted as beautiful/handsome. Yeah, I admit that I do have lot of artist's idol like Bryan of Westlife Band and David Archuleta because they were good in singing and Sarah Geronimo because of her unique character.

There were two people that I admired the most, and they are my parents. They were my strength, my inspiration in life and they were the reasons why I am studying hard. All my dreams, they are the reasons behind . . . . .  I pulled strength in them to face and pass all the problems that may come along my way. . .  . .

I can say that my mother is more than a superstar because she is the best mother in the world, for me. I idolized her attitude to everybody, being a good mother, a child to her parents, a good wife to her husband, a good citizen, kind, loving and most of all even though she didn't finish he studies, she knows how to socialize to others with a good manner. She is a friendly person, in fact, everybody in our barangay knew her. That's my mother and all I can say is, " Mama, you are my idol and  I want to be like you someday when I do already have a family of my own."

And my father even though I seldom talked to him were not that close, I also admired him. Because he is my savior. He saved my life when I was still a child. . . He put his index finger in between my teeth to not locked my jaw when I'm having a convulsion. . . . He endured the pain just to save me even if there's so much blood flowing from his finger. I was his look-alike according to others. I got some of my attitudes from him, genetically as well as his adeptness in Mathematics subject. He is a unique man, showing his love to me in a unique way and protecting me in a different manner. So, " Papa, you are my savior, I thank you for saving my life and I am blessed that you are my father."

I love and admire you two and I want to be as good as you are someday. I adore your strength and your dedication to fulfill your responsibilities in giving me and my brother a good education even though we are not that rich. You two still struggle and fight for our own sake. I admire your determination to lead us in goodness and force to be not like you whom did not finish their studies. I am thankful that you are my parents for making me a good person, strong and have a courage to face the challenges in life and determined to finish my studies.

THANK YOU......... You were my idol......... I will never exchange you to anything because you were the only one in my life. . . . . " Ma, Pa, you are the most beautiful gift that God had given to me, the most precious one that should be kept and took a very good care and I will treasure for the rest of my life ....... I love you very much with all my heart and thanks for everything. I promised to treasure all the things you taught me to be and promised to pay you someday in my own way of thanking you in return."

Boredom Strikes Again

Did you ever feel bored? Of course you do, right? " It's so boring." "I'm bored." Those were words we occasionally say we were stuck on one place specifically when we are absent-minded.
Idling and imagining nonsense things were the first thing we did when we were bored. It seemed that every time you're bored time passes very slow and very long to wait. And there are moments that you looked at the clock every minute and every second. And one more thing, you tend to do things without any hesitation like doing house chores without even feeling tired.
Honestly, I experienced all those things mentioned. I cleaned up the house, swept the floor, took away all the spiders-web at the ceiling, pulled off the grasses around and washed all my dirty clothes. After that, tiredness strikes all over my body. Whoah!

But I can say that I'm good and industrious right that very moment only. hehehehehehe...

INTERCOLOR DAY -- YELLOW TEAM

It's been a busy week for the institution because of he emergency activity of intercolor last August 21 - 22. There were three teams; Yellow Team(TED and LEA), Violet Team (IT Department) and Gray Team(Criminology Department). On the first day of the event, Search for Mr. & Ms. INTERCOLOR 2014 and yell competition had been conducted. Then on the afternoon, ball games and board games started. I played Volleyball Girls, of course.

On the second day was the championship game. The last game was the basketball. Yellow versus Violet. Every team had supporters and cheering for their respective players.

Then everything went well. And Yellow Team was announced to be the OVERALL CHAMPION. Great!

Perfect Exam

Examination.  A part of the school's life. A test to know if you learn something at school. To prepare everyone to become a good citizen in the future.

Learning is said to be a lifelong process. We learn new things that  we could  use in the future and sometimes that teaches us lessons for our everyday living in this world.

The examination   was done and this is the time for judging what was already done. This week's work was to check the examinations done last week. After checking those exams, I'm so glad because my wish was granted, I made it. I passed all my exams and the very good thing about it was I got a perfect score on one of my exam- it was the English-American Literature teaches by Ms. Mary Joy Daprosa. I got seventy over seventy and the better was I am the only one who perfect the exam among the class. WOW! I'm so happy that time and I am proud of myself. .......
 LET'S CELEBRATE!

Review for the Exam

Today was the week that required a more focus and more concentration, a stressed week for a few and boring for some especially to students who hated to be in school.

The scheduled for the exam was posted on the bulletin board. All subjects of the BSED 4- A were scheduled at the afternoon time. Before the Examination, students were too busy claiming their permit and others were paying their balances at the registrar for the semester. And we, the very usual doing and activity every exam, got promissory notes to the faculty because many of us were scholars of PGO and LGU.

I can say that the midterm exam was not  too hard and difficult because there are a lot of time for us to review. We  took two subjects that I easily answered like the English- American Literature but there was also hard one like the Philippine Government and New Constitution because the set of questions were not the one I reviewed. Yet, I wished I could passed all the my exams.

First Anniversary ------- A Challenge

A year,It's so long ,right? But it feels not. When you're being with the one you loved, you can feel safeness and guarded as well and the time will be immediately passed without recognizing it.It's so strange feel like this at my age but it's part of life, isn't it?

It's been a year since we became couple but I can't still believe that we reached this. Every time I think of it, I can't help myself to smile and reminisce those past days when we are not yet on this situation until these days. It is really possible for two people developed feelings for each other. At first, we decided to  keep it as a secret because we are afraid to people surrounded us especially me. We are afraid to what they could do and say to our relationship. I, who known to be the first dean's lister  -- a smart girl with full of dreams, making a name for the institution, soaring high for the future was in a relationship with a a guy whose older that me, known to be a playboy, bossy type of man and having vices. That's ridiculous! We are not in good terms.! Those were judgments we received and heard from them. They kept on telling me that I should not continue my foolishness on him. I should Broke up with him as early I can but I can't. I told him everything and he told that he'll prove himself to them and change as well for the better to be called a deserving one. He did what he promised, and now they already accepted us and realized that every person can change from bad to a good person as long as they want to do so.

We've passed several challenges yet we stayed strong. The story behind seemed to be like a fantasy, right? For a girl loving a guy with a very opposite attitude to hers. For now, we will continue making more memories together. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY! I Love you.

Life, Love and Destiny

LIFE. A greatest gift that should take a very good care. But why do we have have to be born in this world? What are the purposes of our life to do with the God's creation? To care? To do good deeds? To experience different emotions? Like love? Maybe it is.

LOVE. The very first thing that we felt ever since we're not yet born until we already are and continuously feel it on our everyday life to this world. There are different kind of love, namely: Love to God, Love to Parents, love to Nature, Love to Others and Love to Self.  Love to others, i can say to be the complicated one. Have you ever asked this question "Why there's a time that you loved someone but he/ she can't love you back then? Or you will be loved but you can't love him back? It is possible that the one you loved can love you back, right?

If that happens, who maybe that person will feel so  happy and lucky at the same time...... But if it's not, one can no wonder to love again............. You can feel the pain that the world can give and will know the meaning of sacrifice and moving on.

LOVE always exists. It is in yourself when to focus on it. And when that time comes, don't give everything of your love because love starts from yourself and not from others.

If you already felt LOVE to someone, don't be so in rush. Love passes several stages before it can say love. Be sure on what you feel before proceeding to the next step and think many times before doing it.

Don't look for love , let love look for you. Because whatever happens, everyone in this world has a partner in life which they call "DESTINY" and it is in your hand if you let him/her pass in your way. And LOVE is not always positive, it is always partnered by a negative one, the PAIN.

Teaching and Learning as a Challenge

Teaching is said to be the noblest profession of all. It is because on the field of teaching it plays different roles even inside or outside the four corners of the classroom.

One of the basic purpose of teaching is to effect changed behavior to help a youngster grow and mature, to help him/her put service to mankind above personal gain, to help him/her learn how to live successfully with others,  to help him/her gain the skills and knowledge to earn a living and to help him/her find his/her own place in a society and some of the goals of teachers. Teachers who are personally successful in attaining these goals are values as the core of their teaching.

According to Carroll, there are four elements that determine success as a learner. Three of them are vital namely; "aptitude", "general intelligence" and "perseverance" reside on you. Even the fourth, "opportunity for learning" is within your influence, if not power because you can create opportunity if it is not there.

And in teaching-learning process, learners are also vital in the field of teaching to be concluded as a successful teaching. Being a learner, it is necessary to put yourself and focus your mind to learn. When you let your foot step on school, your mind, heart and body should be one. Dream , set your goals, learn and mark on mind to be what you dream today in the future.

" An education should prepare the individuals to begin, with the help and training of school experiences or life of active search for better solutions to his own and society's problem."
                                                                                                                 - Donald F. Gay -

Failures in Life

There is a saying that " When your problem are as big as the ship, remember that the solutions are as wide as the ocean". Problems, hindrances and circumstances do really passes one's path for him/her to be strong to have faith in Him. Those are part of lives to learn some lessons from it. And learning from that, made us a matured person as time goes by. And according to the book of Literary Criticism, every individual learn from their experiences and to others. When you had a mistake, you for the second time do not let it to be mistake again yet make it right. One is enough and two is too much. But we can't avoid it to happen again because maybe our heart and mind contradict one another and make a decision without even thinking its effect. As God created human, he gave them free will wherein everyone has choices to choose where path is he/she going to be taken. Life is a matter of choice. No one has the right to dictate another life because everyone has own  mind, body and soul to move and to according to what he/she thinks, says and does. But one can tell or advise other what he/she going to do but still the decision is in him/her. Thus, remember to face the consequences after. So, when you do wrong this time, make it right next time, learn to accept your mistake and ask forgiveness to Almighty God.
Once, I try and let myself made everything I never experienced but not that too odd. I even made a decision just for myself without thinking others even my love ones. My opinion is that it's just for once I'll do what I want to do and act what I am thinking. I'm giving myself a break just for once in my life. I'm letting myself become free from expectations that I get from my surroundings. JUST FOR ONCE. I am happy to experienced those things because it made myself learn something new.
But everything as says has its end and an exchange. This happened to me. Of course, I know that it is a mistake, what else can they do it was just happened. I accept all their insights about it. I absorbed it all. I can say that its all worth because I can feel the concern from the people that surrounds me. They make me realize that I have a special part to their lives. And I'm thankful for that. THANK YOU.
